Sammy followed his sister Sasha over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday November 12th after a long illness, nestled in Nick’s arms, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a member of the Freedom litter, along with his siblings Riley, Jake, Sasha and Gabby, born on Saturday, September 11th to mother Polly (CH Whitebred’s Cotton Candy) and father Shadow (BISS, Grand CH Whitebred’s Diamond Solitaire.)
Sammy spent his first six years living on the upper west side of Manhattan but found the city life did not suit his gentle personality. He came to live with Sasha, their mother Polly, and the Picinich family. He loved living with his relatives and the quiet of his own backyard on the shores of Lake Parsippany.
He was proud to be Sasha’s big brother.
An avid nature lover, Sammy enjoyed squirrels, birds, ducks and his favorite animals, bunnies. He especially loved walking near his home. Sammy and his person, Nick took long walks on vacation at Long Beach Island and rides in the MGB. He also enjoyed woodworking and long naps.
Nick and Sammy spent many hours watching action movies and their favorite television show, Yellowstone. A self-described foodie, Sammy enjoyed cooking with his dad and sampling morsels each night at dinner.
Sammy leaves behind his best friend, Nick, Leslie, Liana, Lacey, Lucas, Gram Bear, and his canine cousin Winnie. They will miss him dearly.
