CH Whitebred's Cotton Candy.
JULY 15th, 2006-AUGUST 7th, 2020
Devoted matriarch of the Picinich family, Polly crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Friday August 7th 2020 during a pandemic, in the middle of a five-day power outage; without her beloved family by her side. She fought a valiant battle against PLE and Intestinal Lymphoma.
Born on July 15th 2006 to mother Pearl (CH Whitebred’s Kissed by a Rose) and father Teddy (BIS, BISS AM. CAN. CH Fluffette’s Encore at Kenningway), Polly had an idyllic puppyhood with her three siblings Prince, Lilly and Henry at the Graeber home in Whippany before moving to her forever home in Lake Parsippany.
CH Whitebred’s Cotton Candy led the show life in her early years, following in her parents’ footsteps, highlighted by her participation in the 2009 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in NYC with Lacey as her handler.
Once retired she and Shadow (BISS GCH Whitebred’s Diamond Solitaire) had a family of five beautiful puppies on September 11th 2010 (The Freedom Litter: Riley, Sammy, Jake, Gabby and Sasha).
Polly lived an exciting life traveling alongside Lacey and her family to many cities and roller skating rinks. She enjoyed staying in hotels, car rides, meeting people and exploring new places. Her favorite vacation destination was Long Beach Island. In September 2018 she was the Flower Girl at Lacey’s wedding. For all of her years she worked part time as the head of security and gallery guard for The Magnusson Group, Morristown.
Always looking for fun and frolic, she loved her basket full of toys, including her favorites Gorilla, Giraffe and Froggie. A collector of balls large & small, she loved playing with her ballies every day. Polly had a flair for fashion and enjoyed dressing up with feathers bows or sparkles; her favorite color was pink. While she was an avid walker, in her golden days she preferred riding in her stroller (aka the land yacht), catching the sun’s rays and enjoying the fresh air.
Polly was a fabulous dog and she led a fabulous life. Fourteen years wasn’t long enough. She will be missed by Leslie, Nick, Liana, Lacey, Lucas, Gram Bear and her kids Sasha & Sammy.
